Additionally, landlines and GSM-based mobile phones are used in all corners of the island. There are two GSM operators in Northern Cyprus, namely KKTCELL and KKTC Telsim.

Traffic: The direction of traffic follows the British system, driving on the left side of the road.

Currency: The currency used in Northern Cyprus is the British Pound (£), US Dollar ($), and Turkish Lira (TL). British pounds are accepted in banks, hotels, and exchange offices. Most types of credit cards can be used here as well.

Time: Northern Cyprus is in the GMT + 2 time zone.

Electricity: Northern Cyprus uses 240 volts electricity, and plugs are arranged according to British standards (220/240 Volts A/C).

Beaches: The average sea temperature on the beaches of Northern Cyprus, between May and October, is 24°C.
